Amritsar (India): Strengthening technology-driven policing in Punjab, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav announced the launch of the automated e-Challan system in Amritsar, making it the fourth city in the state after SAS Nagar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana to adopt automated traffic enforcement.

The DGP said the new system would enhance transparency, ensure efficient traffic law enforcement and improve road safety across the city through technology-based monitoring and enforcement.

During his visit, DGP Gaurav Yadav also inaugurated the newly established building of Police Station Mohkampura, developed under the Smart City Project. The upgraded facility is aimed at improving infrastructure for police personnel while providing better accessibility and citizen-centric services.
