SARIMUL LASKAR, SILCHAR:- As Eid-ul-Azha approaches, the Kalain Azad Memorial Club in Assam’s Cachar district has issued a powerful and emotional appeal that is winning hearts across communities. The club has called upon the entire Muslim community to refrain from cow sacrifice during this year’s Eid-ul-Azha.
In a strong message promoting peace and social harmony, the club stated that if the sacrifice of cows hurts the sentiments of any community, then they do not support causing such pain. Placing brotherhood and communal unity above all else, the club has warmly urged Muslim brothers and sisters to opt for other permissible animals for Qurbani this Eid and avoid cow sacrifice.
At the same time, the Kalain Azad Memorial Club has made a strong appeal to the Government to immediately ban large companies that slaughter cows for commercial purposes and export beef abroad. The club emphasised that when religious sensitivity is being respected in one sphere, commercial profiteering through cow slaughter should not be allowed to continue unchecked.
This noble initiative from Cachar is being widely praised as a shining example of communal harmony and mutual respect. Many see it as a mature and compassionate step towards strengthening the beautiful fabric of social unity in Assam.
May this Eid-ul-Azha bring peace, love, and togetherness to every home. Let us all walk together on the path of harmony and brotherhood.
