Kathmandu: The World Buddhist Federation, under the guidance of its Founder President, Dr. Parvinder Singh, has organised a relief distribution programme for families affected by the recent floods, providing essential supplies to people facing hardship in the aftermath of the disaster.
The Federation’s treasurer, who is the father of Home Minister Mr. Dil Bahadur Gurung, joined other members of the organisation in the humanitarian initiative and personally participated in distributing relief materials among affected families.
The programme focused on providing immediate assistance to people whose homes, property and sources of livelihood were damaged by the floods. Essential relief items were distributed to help families meet their basic needs during the difficult period.
Members of the World Buddhist Federation also interacted with local residents, listened to their concerns and expressed solidarity with communities affected by the natural disaster.
The organisers stressed that compassion, cooperation and collective action remain vital in times of crisis. They also called upon individuals, social organisations and concerned authorities to continue supporting flood-affected communities as they work towards recovery and rehabilitation.
The relief initiative reflects the World Buddhist Federation’s stated commitment to humanitarian service, community welfare, peace and compassion.
Flood victims expressed their gratitude to Dr. Parvinder Singh, the World Buddhist Federation and its participating members, saying the assistance had provided much-needed support and hope to families struggling in the aftermath of the floods.
