New Delhi: Joining the Delhi Government’s ‘Metro Monday’ initiative, Delhi Assembly Speaker Shri Vijender Gupta travelled by Delhi Metro from Tilak Marg to the Vidhan Sabha on Monday, advocating eco-friendly public transport and fuel conservation.
Beginning his journey from the Supreme Court Metro Station, Gupta interacted with fellow commuters and urged citizens to adopt sustainable modes of travel in their daily lives. He changed trains at Rajiv Chowk before reaching Vidhan Sabha Metro Station and proceeding to the Delhi Legislative Assembly.
The initiative, inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call for fuel conservation, seeks to promote green mobility, reduce traffic congestion and encourage greater public participation in environmentally responsible practices across the national capital.
