The Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmelani, a prominent organization of the Nath Yogi Samaj, has warmly welcomed and congratulated the BJP-led alliance on the historic victory in the recently concluded Assam Assembly elections. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the organisation’s president Dhiren Nath and general secretary Gunajit Kumar Nath said the victory was a victory of the visionary and able leadership of the all-time popular Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma.

It is the victory of the Khilanjia caste-Janagoshthi of Assam to protect the self-right, the victory of protecting the rich culture and tradition of Assam, the victory of rescuing Assam from the hands of foreign Bangladeshi intruders, the victory of freeing the fertile agricultural land of Assam from the occupation of the evictees and the victory of unprecedented sustainable development and progress of Assam. In the statement, the organization also expressed that in the last election, the BJP has expressed gratitude and gratitude to the top leadership of the BJP for fielding two members of the Nath Yogi Samaj, Kishor Nath and Dr. Mukut Nath. They said that the BJP candidate from Dhing constituency had to face defeat in the election, yet the Nath Yogi community of Assam feels proud of him. Because in the 90 percent religious minority dominant community, a dedicated Nath Yogi person like Dr. Mukut Nath waved the flag of Sanatan civilization and religion with indomitable courage.

On the other hand, the President, General Secretary and other leaders and workers of the organization addressed Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Assam State BJP President Dilip Shaikia and said that this time they have made a humble request to include BJP candidate Kishor Nath, who became the lone Nath Yogi MLA of the Assam Assembly by winning by more than 1 lakh 2 thousand votes from Barkhala Assembly constituency, by giving him a place as a cabinet minister in the upcoming Council of Ministers. He said that in 78 years of independence, this Janagoshthi did not get the privilege of getting a single ministerial post.

Therefore, this time Kishor Nath should be given the responsibility of the Minister and an opportunity should be given to contribute to the development of Assam. With this sympathy of the Chief Minister, the hope of the mind of every Nath Yogi person of Assam will be fulfilled and the community will remain grateful forever, this has been clarified by the Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmelani in its statement. Nath Yogi Samaj is the premier public gathering of Assam, with a population of about 42 lakh residing in the state. Yet it has always been neglected in political representation. This call of the organization can be an important step towards strengthening the BJP’s inclusive politics.
