SUNDERBANI, Today Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint operation with the Army, arrested a man in Rajouri district’s Nowshera belt and recovered foreign-made pistols, magazines and live rounds from his possession, officials said on Thursday.
While a joint patrolling party of the J&K Police and the Indian Army’s 54 Rashtriya Rifles conducted a search late on Wednesday night (Feb 18-19, 2026) and apprehended a suspect named Sachin Kumar, son of Seejay Kumar, a resident of Sair, Nowshera.
During search, two foreign-made pistols (Turkey/China-made), four magazines and 15 live cartridges were seized from him without any valid documents, officials said.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Nowshera and further investigation is underway.
