New Delhi: At a time when India is advancing towards its long-term vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, Shyam Lal College is set to host a two-day international conference on March 27–28, 2026, aimed at shaping discourse around a “Goldilocks” or “just right” economy.
The conference, themed “Amrit Kaal to Viksit Bharat: Proactive Governance, Resilient Entrepreneurship and Geopolitical Realignment for a ‘Goldilocks’ Economy,” seeks to examine India’s economic trajectory amid evolving global dynamics. The discussions are expected to explore how balanced growth, policy innovation, and strategic positioning can define India’s development model.
Eminent personalities such as Hon’ble Justice Gita Mittal, Prof. W. Selvamurthy, Prof. Balaram Pani, Sr. Prof. V. K. Kaul, and Sr. Prof. Deepak Tandon will lead discussions that bridge academia, governance, and real-world policy challenges. Their insights are expected to unpack what a “just right” economy means for India in a volatile global landscape.
Behind this initiative is a committed academic leadership. Under the guidance of Principal Prof. Rabi Narayan Kar, the conference is being convened by Dr. Neha Bothra, with Dr. Triveni as Director and Dr. Amanpreet Kaur as Co-Convenor and a student team led by Priyanka Yadav. Their efforts reflect how a college can go beyond classrooms to create platforms that contribute meaningfully to national discourse.
Organisers said the conference reflects the growing role of academic institutions in contributing to national policy conversations beyond traditional classroom learning.
