Chennai: The Global Human Peace University (GHPU), in association with the People Forum of India – Bharat Sevak Samaj, hosted the prestigious Honorary Awards Ceremony 2025 on Saturday, December 13, at the iconic Raja Annamalai Mandram in Chennai.
The event recognized exceptional individuals for their contributions to society, education, governance, and public service. Dignitaries from diverse fields including retired judges, police officers, academicians, entrepreneurs, and international delegates were in attendance, making it a gathering of significant cultural and intellectual importance.
Dr. P. Manuel, Founder & Chairman of GHPU, presided over the event, while the keynote address was delivered by Hon’ble Judge Dr. K. Venkatesan, Vice-Chancellor of GHPU. He stressed the importance of ethical leadership and justice in nation-building.
Notable guests included Mr. K. Paramaraj, retired District Judge, Dr. A. C. Mohan Dass, retired IAS officer, and Dr. T. Sekar, retired Inspector General of Police. They shared inspiring speeches on governance, human rights, discipline, and leadership.
Among the distinguished awardees were Mr. Rajesh Sundararaman, a social activist from Singapore, who received the Honorary Doctorate in Social Service for his community work, and Mr. M. Radhakrishnan, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Chennai, honored with the Doctorate in Social Work. Other recipients included environmental scientist Mr. H. D. S. Premasiri and entrepreneur Ms. Thangamalar Jaganath.
The ceremony concluded with heartfelt thanks to all the dignitaries, awardees, and organizers, leaving a lasting impression of unity and service to society.
