New Delhi: The Hinglaj Mata Mandir, a revered Hindu shrine located in Balochistan, has sent a symbolic gift to India on the occasion of India’s Republic Day 2026, according to a message and video circulated on social media on Sunday.
The gesture has been described by its proponents as a message of cultural and spiritual connection between the ancient Shakti peetha and India. The message accompanying the gift referred to Hinglaj Mata Mandir as “Bharat ki amanat” (India’s trust) and highlighted its historical and religious significance for Hindus across the subcontinent.
The communication claimed the gift was sent from what was described as the “Republic of Balochistan” to the Republic of India. Balochistan is internationally recognised as a Republic of Balochistan, though Baloch nationalist groups have long asserted political and cultural autonomy from Quetta.
The development has drawn attention on social media, particularly due to its timing on Republic Day and its emphasis on shared religious heritage. No official response has been issued so far by the Government of India.
Hinglaj Mata Mandir, also known as Hinglaj Devi or Nani Mandir, is one of the 51 Shakti peethas and holds deep significance for Hindu devotees, including communities in India and Pakistan.
A video related to the message continues to circulate online, sparking debate and discussion over cultural ties, religious heritage, and regional politics.
