Gurdwara Sahib Qila Darhal is first where, upon visiting, one does not feel like returning home

SUNDERBANI, Martyrs’ Day is celebrated annually on October 28 at the famous highest hill sacred beautiful place Gurdwara War Memorial Shaheed Garh Qila Darhal sector, of district Rajouri Jammu & Kashmir.
Rich tributes were paid to the martyrs of Qila Darhal, who fought against Pakistani raiders during 1947 and till now laid down their lives for the country.
This is the first famous highest hill sacred beautiful place Gurdwara War Memorial Shaheed Garh Qila Darhal Sahib where, upon visiting, one does feel like tears comes on eyes when returning home but building of Gurdwara Sahib is under construction request for contruvation/donation.

As is the case every year, an Akhand Path (continuous recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib) was commenced at the Gurdwara Sahib. The Bhog (concluding ceremony) took place today, October 28th. Following Shabad Kirtan (devotional hymns) and Ardas (prayer), army officers paid tribute at the Shaheedi Samarak (martyrs’ memorial), and Guru ka Langar (community kitchen) was served. Thousands of Sikh devotees partook of the *Langar Parshad.
The army makes a significant contribution every year; this time, too, the army’s contribution has been substantial.

Former Member Legislative Council MLC Ravinder Sharma also visit there.
Meanwhile a grand function is held every year on October 28 to commemorate the day, to remember and pay tributes to the civilian martyrs who laid down their lives to defend their country and had repulsed the attack by the Pakistani raiders in 1947-48.
In the memory of all martyrs civil & Army men who attained supreme sacrifice, Akhand Path was held at Gurdwara Shaheed Garh Qila Darhal. Tributes ceremony was held at war memorial Shaheed Garh Qila Darhal at the place of memorial (civilians & personnel from security forces from the area) at Qila Darhal where besides hundreds of civilians, army, civil, police officers paid their tributes to the martyrs.
Meanwhile president along with all the committee members of Gurdwara Sahib also paid rich tributes to the martyrs and felicitated the some families.

came from Punjab recited Shabad Kirtan & also addressed the history of Qila Darhal.
They said 1947-48 many deserters from Maharaja’s of J&K army joined the Pakistani invaders and attacked the fort at Darhal (Qila Darhal) in Nowshera Sub Divison. A few Sikh warriors under the command of Jathedar Ram Singh and Ex-Subedar Ranjeet Singh fought fierce battle with Pakistani intruders who were forced to free.
In this battle Jathedar Ram Singh and his colleagues namely Hukam Singh, Sohan Singh, Suchan Singh and Pritam Singh also attained martyrdom and more than five hundreds of enemies Pakistani Pathans were killed in this battle.

& others said tears comes on every eyes after hear the history of brave warriors of Qila Darhal.
Singh said that our people have always been serving the country. When on 07 November 1947, thirty thousand Hindu men was killed in one day by Pak Pathan in Rajouri ground, then their wives and daughters were being taken towards Pakistan via Qila Darhal.
Then our Sikh people attacked for save those thousands of women from Pak Pathans then more than 500 Pak Pathans was killed in that danger battle.
Then warriors of Qila Darhal got some papers from the Pathans on which a map was drawn. Pakistan’s border would be made till Chenav river Akhnoor. Pakistan’s plan to capture Rajouri Poonch Reasi, but the brave warriors of Qila Darhal foiled their plan and they were left behind in Pakistan ahead of Pukhrani.
The brave Sikhs continue to defend the Darhal Fort with limited resources till the Indian army reached on 15 November 1947 and saved Nowshera, Rajouri and Poonch area from Pakistani enemies. Now the land of fort Qila Darhal & forest land is encroaching day by day by some land mafias who came from Mendhar one house is also ceased tehsildar Qila Darhal but no any action taken further. They said no any basic facilities provided to Sikh community such as no any bunkers made for Sikh community at LoC areas Pukhrni & Rajwa Lam. They also said public health center PHC also sanctioned on 24-08- 2023 at Qila Darhal but no any PHC opened till now no any water schemes provide to this areas why ignored to this areas why they are nationalist people why?
In this occasion president district Gurdwara Pervendak Committee DGPC Rajouri retired professor Hardial Singh along with all the excutive members of DGPC Rajouri, President of Gurdwara war memorial Shaheed Garh Qila Darhal retired captain Ajit Singh, former sarpanch Isher Singh, former Sarpanch Qila Darhal Paramjeet Singh, for sarpanch Rajinder Singh, captain Ravinder Singh, former MLC Ravinder Sharma, ADC Nowshera Pritam Lal Thapa, BDO Qila Darhal Kumar Gokul, Tehsildar Qila Darhal Janghir Khan & others thousands Sangats came in this religious/Nationalist programme.
