Ajmer Sharif : The 814th Annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty, revered as Khawaja Gharib Nawaz, concluded in Ajmer Sharif with over a million devotees gathering to offer prayers for peace, unity, and spiritual healing.
This year’s Urs was more than just a historic commemoration; it served as a living prayer for humanity in a time marked by division, violence, and suffering. Amidst global turmoil—from the terror attack in Australia to the persecution of minorities in various parts of the world—the gathering at Ajmer Sharif stood as a powerful reminder of the universal message of love, unity, and compassion.
“Khawaja Gharib Nawaz’s message of ‘Love towards all, malice towards none’ transcends community lines and offers hope to a world in need of healing,” said Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif, and Chairman of the Chishty Foundation. He expressed deep concern for the safety and dignity of the Hindu community in Bangladesh and minorities worldwide, emphasizing that the suffering of one community is the suffering of all humanity.
He further called upon the global community to uphold India’s soul of pluralism and coexistence, urging that religion should unite, not divide, and that true devotion is measured by compassion.
As the world steps into 2026, Haji Syed Salman Chishty prayed for a Year of Hope—where dialogue replaces division, justice walks with mercy, and humanity rediscovers its shared soul.
