NEW DELHI, September 5, 2026: Distinguished personalities from education, healthcare, law, public service, social leadership, entrepreneurship, technology and other fields were honoured at the Viksit Bharat Award–2026 and Rashtra Ratna Samman–2026, held at the Deputy Speaker Hall of the Constitution Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi.

Organised by the Institute for Social Reforms and Higher Education Charitable Trust (ISRHE) under the leadership of President Dr Atul Kumar Sharma and Secretary Ms Reshu Gupta, the ceremony brought together achievers from diverse sectors to recognise their contributions to society and nation-building.

Shri Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, joined the programme virtually as Chief Guest through video conferencing. Unable to attend in person due to official commitments, he addressed the gathering virtually and extended his best wishes to the award recipients.

Shri Ramesh Chandra Ratn, Advocate, Supreme Court of India and former Chairman, Public Sector Committee, Ministry of Railways, Railway Board, Government of India, attended the ceremony as Chief Guest. He is also associated with the National Foundation for Communal Harmony under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The event’s Guests of Honour included Shri Vishwendra Paswan, Member of Nepal’s Constituent Assembly and former Minister for Science, Technology & Environment; Prof. (Dr.) Devinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonipat; Dr Nitin Malik, Registrar, Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar; Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Mishra, Registrar, Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Law University; Dr Parvinder Singh, Ambassador for World Peace, United Nations; Dr Rajesh Pathak, Vice-Chancellor, Metro University, Greater Noida; and Shri Harshavardhan Gowda, Founder, Vardhan Group of Companies.

The programme began with the National Anthem, followed by the presentation of awards recognising achievements across a broad spectrum of disciplines.

Among those honoured were Prof. (Dr.) Ram Chet Chaudhary, Chairman of the Participatory Rural Development Foundation; Ambassador Dr Amudala Thejo Kumari, Global Peace & Human Rights Ambassador; Prof. Sumit Sinha, Vice Chairman, Robotics Neurosurgery & Spine, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka; Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Kumar Dubey, Professor of Anaesthesiology at Banaras Hindu University; Dr S.C. The awardees also included professionals from fields such as data science, artificial intelligence, cyber forensics, medicine, education, aviation, social reform, women’s empowerment, media, entrepreneurship and research. Children’s Heart Foundation and Skill Ninja Academy were also among the recipients.
