SARIMUL LASKAR SILCHAR:- Shreebhumi Police have taken a significant step towards preventing road accidents by installing road safety signboards across every police station area in the district.

These signboards have been placed at various important locations to raise awareness among citizens about following traffic rules and practicing safe driving.
According to sources, the signboards have been installed in all areas under every police station in Shreebhumi district.

Special focus has been given to accident-prone zones, where boards such as “Accident Prone Area” along with other cautionary messages have been installed.

These serve as silent reminders to drivers and pedestrians that every signboard is a silent life-saver.

The clear message from the police is: Follow Traffic Rules, Safe Road, Safe Life.Authorities believe that many accidents can be avoided by strictly following basic traffic rules such as wearing helmets, using seatbelts, avoiding talking on mobile phones while driving, and maintaining speed limits.

As part of this initiative, Shreebhumi Police are also regularly conducting Road Safety Drives to encourage the public to use helmets and seatbelts.

These signboards are already visible at several locations, including Bazarichera Police Station area and other police stations.

Every year, thousands of lives are lost in road accidents across the country. In a district like Shreebhumi too, risks remain due to speeding vehicles, careless driving, and violation of rules.

This proactive step by Shreebhumi Police is expected not only to increase awareness but also to make the roads much safer in the long term.

Various organizations and intellectuals have praised this commendable initiative of Shreebhumi Police and called for full cooperation from all sections of society to make it successful.

With the firm belief that awareness can significantly reduce accidents, Shreebhumi Police have launched this special program.
