Mumbai: The TV Journalists Association (TVJA), in association with the World Buddhist Federation, organised a special medical camp for members of the television journalism fraternity at Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central, on Sunday.
The initiative focused on promoting the health and well-being of television journalists, many of whom work under demanding conditions, irregular schedules and considerable professional pressure.
The camp provided journalists with an opportunity to undergo essential health check-ups and seek medical advice from healthcare professionals. Organisers highlighted the importance of regular health monitoring and preventive healthcare, particularly for journalists whose professional responsibilities often involve long working hours, field assignments and challenging working conditions.
Representatives of the TV Journalists Association appreciated the support and cooperation extended by Wockhardt Hospital and the World Buddhist Federation in organising the initiative. They stressed that the health and welfare of journalists should remain an important priority and said similar welfare-oriented initiatives would be encouraged in the future.
The TV Journalists Association said it remains committed to undertaking further initiatives aimed at supporting the welfare and well-being of members of the television media fraternity.
