New Delhi: The Republic of Balochistan has appealed to Elon Musk and X to immediately restore the social-media account of Mir Yar Baloch, its Global Representative, alleging that the account was suspended following coordinated mass-reporting by Pakistani online networks.
In a press note issued on August 25, the Republic of Balochistan claimed that Mir Yar Baloch’s account, @miryar_baloch, was blocked by X and alleged that Pakistani military-linked cyber networks had repeatedly sought to have his social-media platforms taken down over the past two years.
According to the statement, the suspension is linked to Mir Yar Baloch’s efforts to highlight what it describes as the political, diplomatic and human-rights situation in Balochistan before the international community.
The Republic of Balochistan alleged that Pakistani authorities and military-linked online networks are seeking to restrict international attention on developments in Balochistan. It further claimed that Mir Yar Baloch’s communications have reached audiences across international organisations and countries.
The statement accused Pakistan’s military, ISI and DG ISPR-linked online networks of attempting to suppress the voices of Baloch activists. These allegations were presented by the Republic of Balochistan and could not be independently verified from the press note.
Calling for international support, the statement said that the suspension of a social-media account would not silence the Balochistan campaign. It urged supporters to follow Mir Yar Baloch through his reported backup account, @miryarbaloch_.
The Republic of Balochistan also announced plans to establish a Balochistan National Television Channel, saying the proposed platform would seek to take its message directly to audiences around the world.
The statement concluded with an appeal to Elon Musk and X to restore Mir Yar Baloch’s account, arguing that blocking an account cannot suppress the broader political voice it represents.
