Terror Strikes Back? LeT Insider Claims Over 30 Lashkar Operatives Eliminated Across Pakistan, Alleged Video Sparks Debate

An alleged video featuring a senior member of the Pakistan-based, UN-designated terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has surfaced on social media, claiming that more than 30 LeT operatives have been killed by unidentified assailants across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) over the past three to four years.

The man in the video is believed to be Rizwan Hanif, whom Indian security agencies identify as a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist wanted in India. While the authenticity of the footage has not been independently verified, its contents have drawn attention because of the extraordinary claims made by the alleged LeT operative.

According to the purported video, LeT members were targeted in cities including Peshawar, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad. If the claims are accurate, they would represent a rare public admission from within the terror outfit that its network has suffered repeated losses inside Pakistan and PoJK.

Hanif attempts to blame Indian agencies for the killings. India, however, has consistently rejected similar accusations and has never officially acknowledged any involvement in such incidents.

Lashkar-e-Taiba was designated a terrorist organisation by the United Nations in 2005 and is widely recognised as the group responsible for orchestrating the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, in which 166 innocent people were murdered. The organisation has long been accused of operating from Pakistani soil despite repeated international pressure on Islamabad to dismantle terrorist infrastructure.

The alleged video also captures Hanif using abusive and hate-filled language against the Hindu faith, underscoring the extremist ideology that drives the organisation. Such rhetoric reflects the continued reliance of terrorist groups on religious hatred and radicalisation to recruit followers, justify violence and spread intolerance.
