New Delhi: The Republic of Balochistan has issued a strong statement expressing solidarity with the people of Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), while accusing Pakistani security forces of using excessive force against civilians during recent unrest.

In a statement released on July 31, the Baloch leadership alleged that Pakistani Army, police and paramilitary personnel had opened fire in Neelum, Mirpur, Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad, claiming that hundreds of civilians have been killed during the ongoing unrest. The statement also alleged that a seven-year-old Kashmiri girl was killed in the latest firing incident.

The Baloch leadership urged the people of PoJK to continue their movement and warned them against what it described as “false promises” by Pakistan’s military and political establishment. Drawing parallels with Balochistan’s own history, the statement referred to the arrest and execution of Baloch leader Nawab Nauroz Khan and his associates after negotiations with Pakistan’s military rulers in the 1960s.

The statement further described Pakistan as a “failed state,” citing reported economic challenges and alleged institutional collapse, and called on the people of PoJK to distance themselves from Pakistan. It also claimed that people from Balochistan, Sindh and Pashtunistan stand in solidarity with the people of PoJK in their struggle.

The claims made in the statement have not been independently verified, and Pakistani authorities have not issued an official response to these specific allegations.
