Al-Fayhaa City, Syria :
In a significant development for martial arts in Syria, the Pencak Silat Committee successfully conducted examinations for the promotion of Pencak Silat coaches on December 4th, 2025. The event, part of a specialized coaches’ course, took place at the Martial Arts Hall in Al-Fayhaa City, under the direct supervision of the Syrian Arab Federation of Martial Arts.
The participating coaches were tasked with presenting a comprehensive set of assessments to demonstrate their proficiency in the martial art. The examination process included two major components:
- Theoretical Test: Coaches underwent a rigorous theoretical test focused on the technical aspects and movements of Pencak Silat.
- Research Presentation: Each coach presented and discussed individual scientific research related to Pencak Silat, showcasing their understanding and in-depth study of the art form.
The examinations were overseen by renowned Indonesian expert, Sufyan Al-Rijal, who provided his expertise and guidance throughout the evaluation. The event also saw direct oversight from the Supreme Committee for Pencak Silat, ensuring a high standard of assessment.
The event was graced by the presence of several prominent figures, including the President of the Syrian Arab Federation of Martial Arts, Mr. Yassin Al-Mashaan. Also attending were the Secretary and members of the Federation, who were instrumental in organizing the event.
The successful completion of this examination marks another milestone in the development of Pencak Silat in Syria, reinforcing the country’s commitment to advancing martial arts education and fostering international collaboration.
The Federation’s efforts continue to enhance the training standards for coaches and promote the values of discipline, skill, and cultural exchange inherent in Pencak Silat.
