London: The Republic of Balochistan has strongly condemned what it described as Pakistan’s cross-border terrorism and overnight airstrikes targeting civilian homes and public infrastructure across three provinces of Afghanistan.
In a statement issued by Mir Yar Baloch, the group expressed condolences to the families of those reportedly killed in the attacks and voiced concern over what it called Pakistan’s continued cross-border military aggression.
The statement declared solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and reaffirmed Afghanistan’s right to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity and civilian population under international law.
The group urged the international community, regional stakeholders and global organisations to strengthen Afghanistan’s defensive capabilities and called on Pakistan to withdraw from territories it described as “Pakistan-occupied Pashtunistan” and the Durand Line. It also appealed for Pakistan to refrain from further military action against Afghanistan.
Reiterating its claim of independence from Pakistan, the Republic of Balochistan called for Afghanistan to launch military action to reclaim disputed territories, urged India to retake Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and appealed to Kabul and New Delhi to recognise an independent Republic of Balochistan, describing such steps as essential for regional stability and global trade.
