Phra Ratchapothivites Vajrasuthee (Suphoj P.D. 9), Abbot of Wat Thai Lumbini and Deputy Head of the Buddhist Missionary Team for India and Nepal, presided over the ceremony and awarded certificates to candidates who passed the Dhamma Studies examination.
The Dhamma Studies curriculum, including the annual examination, is conducted by the Buddhist Missionary Team for India and Nepal. For the 2025 academic year, the examination was scheduled at two centres — from January 31 to February 2, 2026 at Wat Thai Lumbini, Nepal, and from March 12 to 14, 2026 at Wat Thai Buddhagaya in India.
As Deputy Head of the Buddhist Mission in India and Nepal, Phra Ratchapothivites Vajrasuthee is primarily responsible for organising and conducting the examination in accordance with the regulations laid down by the Office of the Chief Examiner of Dhamma Examinations.
According to official information, the Office of the Chief Examiner of Dhamma Examinations, following a resolution of the Supreme Sangha Council, appointed Phra Khru Palat Suwatthanadilokkun as its representative to conduct Dhamma Examination No. 3/2568 at the Wat Thai Lumbini examination centre. The examination was held there over three days, from January 31 to February 2, 2026.
The successful completion of the examination highlights the continued role of Wat Thai Lumbini as an important centre for Buddhist education and religious activities in Nepal.
