Jerusalem — An Israeli analyst has put forward a controversial strategy for confronting Iran’s clerical leadership, suggesting that external military support for ethnic minority groups could fundamentally weaken the الدولة’s grip on power.
In a video presentation circulating online, the expert argues that backing communities in regions such as Kurdistan, Balochistan and Al Ahwaz would enable them to defend their territories and potentially take control of local resources, including gas fields.
According to the proposal, empowering these groups militarily could open multiple internal fronts against Iran’s leadership, thereby reducing its ability to maintain centralised control.
The analyst frames the approach as a decisive way to defeat what is often referred to as the “mullah regime,” raising the broader question of whether internal fragmentation could succeed where external pressure has struggled.
The idea, however, is likely to be highly contentious, touching on issues of sovereignty, regional stability and the risks of escalating conflict within a multi-ethnic state.
