Bangkok: A wave of devotion swept through the Vishnu Temple of the Hindu Dharma Sabha in Bangkok as Indian artists enthralled devotees with soulful bhajans and devotional songs during a special cultural programme organised on the occasion of Sharadiya Navratri.

The grand Bhajan Sandhya was held in the temple courtyard on the fifth day of Navratri, dedicated to Maa Skandamata. The temple premises resonated with chants of “Jai Mata Di” as devotees joined the celebrations.
Following the traditional worship of Goddess Kushmanda, the artists presented a series of devotional songs, including “Jai Ambe Gauri, Maiya Jai Shyama Gauri”. The performances created a spiritually charged atmosphere, with devotees dancing and singing along to the hymns.
According to the temple committee, hundreds of non-resident Indians (NRIs) and local Thai devotees gathered at the event to seek the blessings of the Goddess and participate in the festivities.
A grand community feast was also organised for the devotees. The Hindu Dharma Sabha Vishnu Temple Committee expressed gratitude to its associates and volunteers for their support in organising the programme.
The committee said similar devotional programmes would continue throughout the nine days of Navratri, bringing devotees together through prayer, music and cultural celebrations.
