New Delhi, August 7.

The historic ‘Mahalla Nagar Kirtan’—dedicated to the sacred teachings of the First Master, Jagatguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, and the glorious legacy of the Guru tradition—concluded with great devotion, discipline, and enthusiasm. A large number of devotees (Sangat) from across the country and abroad participated in this sacred procession, expressing their unwavering reverence for Guru Sahib.

The ‘Mahalla Nagar Kirtan’ commenced at the historic Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib. Subsequently, the Sangat paid obeisance at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib amidst chants hailing Guru Sahib, Gurbani Kirtan, and the singing of Shabads. From there, the procession proceeded to Gurdwara Sri Rakab Ganj Sahib, where the sacred journey culminated with Ardas (prayer).

Throughout the route, devotees demonstrated a spirit of selfless service (Seva) in keeping with the Guru tradition. Arrangements for drinking water, Langar (community kitchen), and other necessities were made for the Sangat at various locations. During the procession, the atmosphere remained filled with devotion, resonating with the chant “Jo Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal” and the melodious strains of Gurbani.

This event was not merely a religious procession but a living embodiment of the messages of service, equality, brotherhood, sacrifice, and human welfare imparted by the Guru Sahibs. By participating with great decorum and discipline, the large gathering of devotees conveyed a message of love, harmony, and national unity to society.

Representatives from various religious and social organizations also welcomed the Sangat on this occasion and highlighted the teachings of the Guru Sahibs as a source of inspiration for humanity.
