New Delhi: Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra on Sunday organised ‘Yuva Samvad (Gen-Z with Modi)’, an interactive programme that brought together around 50 university and college students from across the national capital to discuss higher education, youth participation and nation-building.

During the dialogue, students exchanged views with Malhotra on the expansion of universities and higher educational institutions between 2014 and 2026. Discussions also focused on curriculum reforms, including the removal of certain chapters and the inclusion of subjects of national importance. Participants later expressed their support by signing alongside the Delhi BJP chief.

The interaction also covered the recent CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, with several participants criticising the demonstration and asserting that public movements should promote unity and constructive dialogue. They alleged that remarks made during the protest were detrimental to social harmony and national unity.

Highlighting the Centre’s achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Malhotra said India’s medical education sector has expanded significantly since 2014. He noted that the number of AIIMS institutions has risen from 11 to 23, while medical colleges have increased from 387 to 766. According to him, MBBS seats have grown from 51,348 to 1,15,812, while postgraduate medical seats have increased from 31,185 to 73,111, creating greater opportunities for aspiring doctors.

Malhotra said programmes such as ‘Yuva Samvad (Gen-Z with Modi)’ provide young people with a platform to share their ideas and actively contribute to the vision of a Viksit Bharat. He added that India’s youth are increasingly engaging with national issues through facts, reasoning and positive dialogue, and urged them to play a leading role in building a developed and self-reliant nation.
