Historic Event by Free Balochistan Movement (Finland Branch) on November 13 Pledge to Continue the Struggle for a United and Independent Balochistan

On the occasion of Baloch Martyrs Day (November 13), the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) Finland Branch organized a historic event in Helsinki, the capital of Finland.

The event was addressed by several political and intellectual figures, including Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leaders General Kochi, Maiwand Khan, Banaras Khan, Shafiullah Khan Yousafzai, Advocate Sadiq Raisani, and M. B. Marri Baloch.
Guests from the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) and Afghanistan also participated in the ceremony, expressing solidarity with the Baloch people and emphasizing a joint struggle for freedom and human rights in the region.

Speakers highlighted the historical significance of November 13, stating that this day is not merely a memorial, but a symbol of national resolve and steadfastness for the Baloch nation.

They said that on November 13, 1839, Khan Mehrab Khan, while defending Baloch soil against British imperialism, was martyred along with his companions, becoming an enduring symbol of resistance for the Baloch nation. His martyrdom laid the foundation upon which the later Baloch national movement built its political and armed struggle.

Speakers stressed that the Baloch homeland was artificially divided through colonial conspiracies.
Colonial boundaries such as the Goldsmith Line (1871) and the Durand Line (1893) attempted to sever the historical and cultural ties between the Baloch and Pashtun nations.

The Free Balochistan Movement once again categorically declared that it considers these imperial boundaries to be illegal, unjust, and void.
They further said that even today, in Pakistani-occupied Balochistan and Iranian-occupied Balochistan, Baloch genocide, state repression, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and plundering of natural resources continue unabated.
Policies that aim to turn the Baloch into a minority in their own homeland, along with military aggression and human rights violations, have turned the region into an ongoing humanitarian tragedy.

Leaders of the Free Balochistan Movement called upon the international community, human rights organizations, and the United Nations to take notice of the ongoing genocide in Balochistan and to recognize the Baloch nation’s right to freedom.

They stated that the Free Balochistan Movement’s struggle continues for the establishment of a united, sovereign, and independent Balochistan a Balochistan that has full control over its land, resources, and destiny.
Representatives of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement expressed complete solidarity with the Baloch people, stating that the joint resistance of the Afghan and Baloch nations is the only guarantee of success against imperialist and occupying powers.

Afghan guests reaffirmed their commitment to unity among all oppressed nations of the region, stressing the need to stand together for freedom, democracy, and human dignity.

M. B. Marri Baloch, the organizer of FBM Finland Branch, paid tribute to the martyrs of Balochistan and spoke about the historical importance of November 13. He reaffirmed that the Free Balochistan Movement pledges to advance the struggle for a free and united Balochistan politically, intellectually, and on the international front in an even more organized and determined manner.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude to the representatives of PTM, Afghan guests, and other distinguished participants.
