New Delhi: Delhi Government Minister for Social Welfare, SC/ST/OBC Welfare and MLA from Bawana, Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh, inaugurated a ₹65-lakh sewer line project at Rohini Sector-26, marking another significant step in strengthening civic infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents.

The project, being executed by the Delhi Jal Board, aims to upgrade the area’s sewerage network, ensure efficient wastewater drainage, eliminate waterlogging and stagnant sewage, and reduce the risk of diseases associated with poor sanitation.

Addressing residents during the inauguration, Shri Ravinder Indraj Singh reaffirmed the Delhi Government’s commitment to the comprehensive development of the Bawana Assembly Constituency. He said that the government is simultaneously expanding drinking water pipelines, strengthening the sewerage network, upgrading roads and carrying out large-scale plantation drives to provide better civic amenities to every household.

Residents welcomed the initiative, describing it as the fulfilment of a long-pending demand. They acknowledged that sustained development projects across the constituency are steadily improving essential public infrastructure and transforming the region.

The Minister also underlined the government’s vision of bringing Delhi’s rural areas at par with modern urban centres. Expressing confidence in Bawana’s future, he said the constituency is on course to become a model of balanced and inclusive development.

Once completed, the new sewer line is expected to provide permanent relief from chronic sewerage and waterlogging problems, creating a cleaner, healthier and more convenient living environment for the people of Rohini Sector-26 and surrounding areas.
