24 heirs of deceased DSIIDC employees receive appointment letters

New Delhi: In a landmark move, the Delhi Government has resumed compassionate ground appointments in the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) after an 11-year gap.

At a ceremony held at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday, Minister for Industries, Environment, Food & Supplies Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa handed over appointment letters to 24 candidates, each a legal heir of a deceased DSIIDC employee.

The initiative, undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Smt Rekha Gupta, aims to provide timely relief to families who lost their sole breadwinners while in government service.

“It is a matter of deep sorrow when families face tragedies, and it becomes our duty to stand by them, ensuring relief without delay,” said Shri Sirsa. He added that the Chief Minister had directed officials to fast-track pending compassionate cases, which had remained unaddressed for over a decade.

The appointments were made for positions including MTS (11), Assistant Grade III (7), Accounts Assistant (5), and Junior Stenographer (1).

Calling the event “a proud and historic moment,” Shri Sirsa said the government was “correcting past shortcomings and restoring accountability in governance.”

Senior DSIIDC officials were also present during the distribution ceremony. The initiative, officials said, underscores the Delhi Government’s renewed focus on people-centric governance, compassion, and support for families in distress.
