New Delhi : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday inaugurated 45 new Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs from Shakurpur, taking the total number of operational centres across the capital to more than 415 and reinforcing the government’s push to deliver affordable, quality healthcare closer to every household.

Describing the initiative as a major milestone for Delhi’s healthcare system, the Chief Minister said the expansion is aimed at ensuring that residents have timely access to essential medical services without the need to travel long distances. She expressed confidence that the government would soon achieve its target of establishing more than 1,100 Ayushman Jan Arogya Mandirs across the city.

The newly expanded network provides a wide range of primary healthcare services, including general OPD consultations, maternal and child healthcare, routine immunisation, free screening for non-communicable diseases, essential medicines, health counselling and nearly 80 free diagnostic tests. The centres will also focus on disease prevention, early detection and promoting healthier lifestyles through awareness campaigns.

Following the healthcare inauguration, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched development projects worth ₹14.25 crore in the Tri Nagar Assembly constituency. The projects include the reconstruction of roads and drains, the beautification of Samrat Enclave Market, and civic infrastructure upgrades at Gurjar Chaupal, Saini Chaupal and the Shakurpur cremation ground. She also inaugurated eight major PWD-developed roads constructed at a cost of ₹6.25 crore.

Highlighting her government’s development agenda, the Chief Minister said Delhi is witnessing large-scale improvements in healthcare, infrastructure and civic amenities across all Assembly constituencies. She added that the government is committed to providing better roads, modern public facilities and accessible healthcare, while accelerating long-pending infrastructure works in colonies and slum clusters to build a healthier and more developed national capital.
