New Delhi: Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor on Sunday said that three CJP leaders, including Abhijeet Dipke, had not been acquitted by the court but were released after furnishing bonds of ₹50,000 each, subject to certain conditions.
Kapoor said that CJP, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Communist leaders were portraying the court’s decision as an acquittal and a victory for their movement. He described this portrayal as misleading.
According to Kapoor, the three leaders were released by the court of the Special Executive Magistrate after furnishing bonds of ₹50,000, with the condition that they would not engage in any illegal activity for the next one year.
The Delhi BJP spokesperson urged CJP and AAP leaders to acknowledge the legal conditions attached to the release and refrain from misleading young people. He alleged that the leaders were encouraging youth to join a movement that could jeopardise their careers.
