A strongly worded public appeal has urged India to seize what it describes as a rare strategic opportunity to reinforce its national security posture, warning that hesitation could carry long-term consequences.
Addressed to “Bharat” and tagging prominent figures including Hyrbyair Marri, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, the message argues that decisive action is needed to secure peace through preparedness.
“Strategic hesitation carries a cost. Strategic preparedness secures peace,” the statement reads, asserting that such moments arise “perhaps once in a century” and warning that failure to act could mean the loss of a generational opportunity.
The appeal calls for the immediate strengthening of air defence capabilities in Balochistan and Afghanistan. It also advocates allocating a dedicated defence budget to reinforce strategic partners both diplomatically and militarily, and constructing layered security systems designed to deter aggression from Pakistan and China before conflict begins.
In particular, the statement emphasises securing what it describes as a 400,000 square kilometre maritime and aerial domain through advanced surveillance, missile defence systems and coordinated command structures. It stresses the importance of preventing any hostile aircraft from Pakistan from violating national airspace or disrupting maritime trade routes deemed vital to economic stability and regional influence.
“History rewards those who recognize opportunity and act,” the message concludes.
