New Delhi: The Republic of Balochistan has appealed to the United Nations and the wider international community to send delegations to Balochistan to independently assess the situation on the ground, while presenting an ambitious vision for economic development, transparent governance and international cooperation.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Republic of Balochistan invited representatives of the United Nations, the European Union, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the African Union, ASEAN and other international organisations to visit different regions of Balochistan alongside its representatives. The statement said such visits would enable the international community to witness conditions firsthand and evaluate its proposed roadmap for peace, stability and reconstruction.

The statement outlined a long-term development strategy centred on sovereign management of Balochistan’s coastline, mineral wealth and national assets, asserting that the region’s natural resources should be utilised for the welfare, prosperity and economic self-reliance of its people.

The Republic of Balochistan also called for the deployment of United Nations peacekeeping missions to help safeguard critical infrastructure, natural resources and economic assets while supporting post-conflict reconstruction and institution-building. It proposed expanding international cooperation in infrastructure development, trade corridors, transport networks and public institutions to accelerate nation-building.

Highlighting the region’s economic potential, the statement said Balochistan possesses natural resources worth trillions of dollars and aims to establish modern dams, universities, research centres, hospitals, highways, rail networks, international airports, seaports, renewable energy projects and advanced processing facilities for gas, oil and critical minerals. It added that emphasis would be placed on value-added production to generate employment, strengthen industry and enhance technological development.

As part of its economic blueprint, the Republic of Balochistan proposed the creation of the World Balochistan Economic Corridor (WBEC), describing it as a globally inclusive trade and investment initiative intended to replace the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). According to the statement, WBEC would seek participation from countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe through investments in ports, logistics, energy, minerals and industrial development.

The statement further reaffirmed its commitment to establishing a secular, peaceful and responsible nation based on democratic governance, international cooperation and mutual respect. It urged the international community to recognise Balochistan’s claim to statehood, arguing that such recognition would help address longstanding humanitarian concerns, including alleged enforced disappearances, displacement and economic exploitation, while enabling the people of Balochistan to pursue sustainable development and regional prosperity.
