New Delhi: The Republic of Balochistan has alleged that Pakistan could resort to the use of nuclear weapons in Balochistan if its military campaign faces defeat, according to a statement posted on X on Tuesday.

The group claimed that its forces have regained control of nearly 85% of Balochistan’s territory, prompting Pakistan to deploy tanks, heavy artillery, fighter aircraft, helicopters and drones across several districts, including Nushki, Panjgur, Khuzdar, Sibi and Ziarat. These battlefield claims could not be independently verified.

The statement also accused Pakistani security forces of carrying out indiscriminate firing on protesters in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and intensified military operations against civilians in Balochistan.

Appealing to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations, the United States, European nations and other members of the international community, the group urged immediate international oversight of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal, alleging that the country’s military may consider using nuclear weapons against Baloch civilians.

The statement further called for international recognition of an independent Balochistan, advocated the integration of Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir with India, and sought diplomatic support for the reunification of Pashtun regions with Afghanistan.

Pakistan has not responded to the allegations contained in the statement, and the claims remain unverified by independent sources.
