New Delhi: Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi, in collaboration with the Delhi Chapter of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, will organise a special lecture on “Ek Bharat–Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India) on August 21, 2026.
The programme, scheduled for 11.30 am at Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi, will focus on the spirit of national unity, patriotism and India’s rich cultural diversity. The organisers have invited students, faculty members and others to join the programme and hear the inspiring experiences and insights of the nation’s “Border Praharis” (Guardians of the Nation).
The event will be convened by Prof. KP Singh, Head, DLIS and Director, Gandhi Bhawan, University of Delhi, while Prof. Balaram Pani, Dean of Colleges, University of Delhi, will be the Chief Guest. Col. Tejendra Pal Tyagi, Veer Chakra, National President, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, will preside over the programme.
The invited guests of honour include Shri Raj Kumar Khatana, ACP, Delhi Police (Retd.); Shri Adesh Tyagi, Executive Member, National Council, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha; Gyan Singh, District President, Ghaziabad, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha; and Shri Rajan Chhibbar, Management Guru and National Convener, Finance Council, Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha.
The organisers said the initiative aims to celebrate the ideals of “Ek Bharat–Shreshtha Bharat” while strengthening a sense of national togetherness and cultural understanding. The programme is also intended to contribute to making the University of Delhi more vibrant academically, culturally and nationally.
The event is being organised by representatives of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, including Brig. Vipin Chakravarti, Smt. Urvashi Walia, Shri Ved Prakash, Shri Sunil Bansal, Col. Mukesh Tyagi, Smt. Usha Rana, Advocate Sudhir Tyagi and Shri Rajive Khosla. Shri Rahul Vij and his team have been invited as special guests.
The lecture will provide an opportunity for participants to engage with experiences connected with national service, patriotism and India’s diverse cultural fabric.
