
Pankaj Nath, Assam , August 12: As many as 222 students from 16 Niketans under four Sankuls of the Guwahati Bibhag participated in a four-day residential Ghosh training camp organised by Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, from August 8 to 11, at Janajati Chhatrawas, Maligaon, Guwahati, Assam . During the camp, students were imparted systematic training in Ghosh, beginning with the fundamentals of traditional musical instruments and progressing to various Ghosh compositions. Special emphasis was laid on developing discipline, concentration, teamwork, punctuality and a sense of national responsibility among the participants. The camp followed a structured daily schedule from 4.30 am to 10 pm. Besides Ghosh training, students participated in various physical, intellectual and value-based activities.
The concluding ceremony was attended by Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra Sangathan Mantri Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Purvottar Kshetra General Secretary Dr. Jagadindra Ray Choudhury, Madhya Guwahati MLA Vijay Gupta and the Kshetra Sharirik Sanyojak, among others. Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, Prachar Sanyojak Mukuteswar Goswami said the students presented an impressive demonstration of their training and collective Ghosh performance at the concluding programme. The dignitaries appreciated the students for their discipline, dedication and performance, and encouraged them to continue learning and utilise their talents in the larger interest of the nation.
