The minister said the Delhi Government is drafting a new Cooperative Policy tailored to the capital’s needs and is working to establish multi-purpose cooperative societies that will integrate services such as banking, transport, public services and Common Service Centres under a single cooperative framework. He added that digitising the RCS office would enhance transparency and provide simplified online services to cooperative institutions.

Member of Parliament Bansuri Swaraj, the Guest of Honour, said the Ministry of Cooperation has infused fresh momentum into the cooperative movement over the past five years. She noted that cooperative institutions are playing an increasingly important role in empowering farmers, dairy producers, fishermen, small traders and other grassroots communities while contributing to India’s long-term development goals.

The event concluded with the felicitation of cooperative institutions, office-bearers and employees for their outstanding contribution to strengthening the cooperative sector.
