Dalhousie (Ajay Puri, Rajeshwar Behl): Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sadar Bazaar, Dalhousie, is celebrating its historic 100th Annual Diwan with great enthusiasm and religious fervour. As part of the centenary celebrations, a grand Nagar Kirtan was organized, attracting a large number of devotees, local residents, and tourists who joined in singing the praises of the Guru and seeking blessings.
The Nagar Kirtan commenced from Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Sadar Bazaar and passed through Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk before returning to the Gurdwara premises. The procession transformed the town into a vibrant display of devotion, spirituality, and community unity.
Renowned kirtani jathas led by Bhai Davinder Singh Sodhi and Bhai Rajdeep Singh enthralled the congregation with soulful Gurbani Kirtan at Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk. Their devotional hymns filled the atmosphere with spiritual bliss and inspired the sangat throughout the event.
Adding to the religious celebrations, Kathavachak Jaswinder Singh delivered inspiring discourses and narrated religious stories, immersing devotees in devotion and spiritual reflection.
A major attraction of the Nagar Kirtan was the spectacular Gatka performance by Bhai Kanwaljit Singh and Party. The skilled artists showcased traditional Sikh martial arts, earning loud applause and admiration from spectators. Meanwhile, the Mahajan Band from Pathankot added to the festive spirit by performing melodious religious tunes during the procession.
Several social and religious organizations actively participated in the celebrations and rendered voluntary service. Former MLA Renu Chadha attended the Nagar Kirtan with her family and took part in seva. Members of the Valmiki Youth Club Dalhousie and Sanatan Dharma Sabha Dalhousie also contributed significantly through various service activities, reflecting the spirit of communal harmony and brotherhood.
The office bearers of Sri Guru Singh Sabha expressed gratitude to the sangat, local residents, tourists, and participating organizations for their wholehearted support and service. They described the centenary celebrations as a historic milestone that will remain a cherished chapter in the history of the Sabha.
