Balochistan: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) on Monday claimed that its fighters enforced blockades at three locations in Kalat district — Khazenai, Marjan and Garradi — throughout May 24 as part of what the group described as “protective surveillance” operations in the region.
In a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Azad Baloch, the outfit said its members carried out snap-checking on highways from morning until 3:30 pm, monitoring vehicle movement and allegedly targeting transportation linked to the “plundering of Baloch resources”.

The group further claimed that three vehicles belonging to Pakistani security forces attempted to surround its fighters at one of the checkpoints, but the move was “foiled” without elaborating on casualties or damage.
The BLA said such checkpoints and inspections were being conducted in different parts of Balochistan to “protect the Baloch people” and to enable immediate retaliation in the event of alleged harassment by security forces.
Reiterating its separatist stance, the outfit stated that its “struggle will continue until the complete independence of Balochistan.”
