Silchar: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Sai Vikash Vidya Niketan on Sonai Road hosted its maiden air show on the school’s main ground, drawing huge enthusiasm from students, parents and teachers alike.
Organised under the guidance of Academic Director Dr. P. Srinivas Reddy, the event aimed to promote interest in science, technology and innovation among young learners. The show featured model aircraft flights, robotics demonstrations and several technology-based exhibits that kept the audience engaged throughout the day.
Experts in aerospace and technology from across the country interacted directly with students, explaining technical concepts and showcasing modern innovations. Headmaster Arivukarasu Pandian and Vice-Principal Preetha K.H. reviewed the activities and encouraged students to actively participate in the exhibitions.
The event witnessed energetic question-and-answer sessions, with students displaying keen curiosity about robotics, aviation and advanced technologies. Parents attending the programme appreciated the efforts of organiser Aerobe and praised the school for introducing such an educational platform in Silchar.
School authorities said more such activities would be organised in future to enhance scientific awareness among students. Assistant teacher Aradhana Bhattacharyya said the initiative would inspire children to “dream big” and help them explore opportunities in aerospace, robotics and emerging technologies.
