Ajmer: In a significant push towards youth empowerment, the Chishty Foundation, in collaboration with Saksham Sanchar Foundation, organised a large-scale seminar on media education, career counselling and entrepreneurship at the historic Dargah Sharif on Saturday.
Held at Chishtiya Hall from 1 pm to 5 pm, the event drew an enthusiastic turnout of students, young professionals and members of the Khuddam-e-Khawaja community, reflecting a growing appetite for skill development and career guidance among Ajmer’s youth.
The seminar featured a panel of experts from media, academia and industry. Archana Sharma spoke on media literacy and communication skills, while Dr Lalit Khatri guided participants on career planning. Raunak Kumar Sinha highlighted emerging opportunities for young professionals, and Fakira Mohan Nahak discussed the evolving landscape of media and public relations.
Other speakers included Neelam Singh, who emphasised responsible journalism, Yajvender Yadav on personal branding and writing, and Sandeep Dahiya, who shared insights from his experience in national journalism.
The programme opened with a welcome address by Haji Syed Salman Chishty, who underlined the importance of education, skill-building and entrepreneurship. He urged youth to adopt modern communication tools while remaining rooted in their cultural values, assuring continued support for such initiatives.
Community leaders including Syed Iqbal Chishty and Syed Fakre Moin also addressed the gathering, stressing education as a key driver of progress.
Excellence Awards were presented to distinguished speakers for their contributions to media, communication and career guidance. Certificates of participation were distributed to attendees, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Syed Ali Zaid Chishty and Syeda Samar Chishty.
The initiative marks a notable effort to connect Ajmer’s youth with national-level expertise in media, careers and entrepreneurship, setting a benchmark for community-led educational programmes in the region.
