New Delhi: The Foundation for Aviation and Sustainable Tourism (FAST) will organise a seminar titled “New India Rising: Powering Growth with Air Cargo and MROs” on April 7 at the India International Centre, bringing together key stakeholders from the aviation sector to deliberate on strengthening India’s cargo and maintenance ecosystem.
Scheduled from 10:00 AM to 1:45 PM, the seminar will feature an inaugural session followed by two business sessions focusing on air cargo infrastructure and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services.
The inaugural session will include a welcome address by Lt. Gen. KM Seth, PVSM, AVSM (Retd.), former Governor of Tripura & Chhattisgarh and President of FAST, Guest of Honour: Shri Samir Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Civil Aviation, Government of India.(Invited), Chief Guest: Shri K. Ram Mohan Naidu, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Government of India. (Invited), Vote of thanks by Shri VP Agrawal, former Chairman, AAI, and Vice President of FAST.
The first business session, themed “Unlocking potential through new Airports, Cargo infrastructure, UDAN 2.0 – A Catalyst for growth in Regional Aviation”, will focus on improving logistics, connectivity and infrastructure to position India as a regional cargo hub.
The second session, “MROs: Achieving accelerating growth and global competitiveness – Opportunities and challenges ahead”, will explore policy initiatives, skill development and partnerships required to transform India into a global MRO hub.
The programme will include a short tea break, followed by lunch after the sessions. Participation in the seminar is free, subject to prior registration.
The event aims to chart a roadmap for boosting India’s aviation-linked logistics and maintenance sectors, aligning with initiatives such as UDAN 2.0 to strengthen regional connectivity and economic growth.
