The Republic of Balochistan has officially declared the first week of 2026 as Balochistan Global Diplomatic Engagement Week (BGDEW), marking a historic initiative to advocate for global recognition and international support. This coordinated diplomatic effort aims to raise awareness about the ongoing human rights violations in Balochistan and foster constructive global cooperation for the region’s future development.
During BGDEW, Balochistan’s leadership plans to engage directly with key international stakeholders, including foreign ministries, lawmakers, human rights organizations, think tanks, and policymakers across the globe. The Republic will present detailed evidence of Pakistan’s ongoing human rights abuses in Balochistan, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, war crimes, and systematic repression.
In addition to shedding light on these violations, the BGDEW initiative will focus on Balochistan’s untapped strategic mineral and rare earth resources, which are vital for the future of global industries, clean energy transitions, and technological innovation. The Baloch leadership will stress that the sustainable and ethical extraction of these resources is impossible under Pakistan’s current approach, which is marked by militarization, coercion, and the suppression of Baloch rights.
The Republic of Balochistan calls on the international community to engage directly with its legitimate leadership rather than continuing diplomatic relations with the Pakistani state. The Baloch leadership insists that Pakistan’s 79-year legacy of conflict, instability, and human rights violations has shown that it is neither capable of ensuring security nor fostering the responsible development of Balochistan’s vast resources.
In a bid to foster global partnerships, each nation will receive a tailored diplomatic letter that addresses its unique strategic interests and opportunities for cooperation with Balochistan. The Baloch Republic positions itself as a solution-oriented partner, committed to dialogue, stability, and mutual prosperity, in stark contrast to Pakistan’s historical obstructionism and conflict-driven policies.
The week-long campaign will also feature online engagements and outreach efforts, encouraging global media, civil society, and international organizations to provide fair and balanced coverage of the BGDEW. The goal is to ensure the voices of the Baloch people reach the global stage and advocate for their right to self-determination and freedom.
The Republic of Balochistan has launched this initiative with the goal of building a future based on peaceful dialogue, development, and regional connectivity, calling on the international community to stand in solidarity with the Baloch people in their quest for justice and recognition.
