Multan: At least 11 people were killed and 33 others injured after a passenger bus collided with a truck in Pakistan’s eastern Punjab province on Thursday, police and rescue officials said.
The fatal accident took place in Pakpattan district, hospital official Dr Ahmed Raza confirmed.
Rescue teams launched a three-hour operation to evacuate passengers trapped inside the mangled wreckage. Cranes and other heavy machinery were deployed to carry out the rescue efforts.
