Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and Chief Patron of the World Buddhist Federation, Shri Ramdas Athawale, today visited Punjab. During his visit, he paid obeisance at Dera Sachkhand Ballan and met Dera Chief Sant Baba Niranjan Dass Ji. Shri Athawale congratulated Sant Niranjan Dass Ji on receiving the prestigious Padma Shri honour.
On the occasion, Shri Ramdas Athawale held an important meeting with Dr. Parvinder Singh, Head of the World Buddhist Federation, Satish Jaura, President of the Punjab State Unit, and other office-bearers and leaders of the Federation.
During the meeting, discussions were held on promoting the ideology and vision of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, social equality, education, human rights and the empowerment and welfare of socially disadvantaged sections of society. The leaders emphasized the need for collective efforts to carry forward the message of social justice and equality envisioned by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The World Buddhist Federation Punjab Unit, under the leadership of Dr. Parvinder Singh, also honoured Shri Ramdas Athawale on the occasion. Members and office-bearers of the Federation’s Governing Body participated in the honour ceremony.
Those present at the meeting included Satish Jaura, President, Punjab State Unit; Sukhwinder Singh Raja, President, North India; Dr. Jatin, Senior Vice President; Dinesh Kumar Dasuha, President, Skilled Development; Amanjot Singh, Hoshiarpur, President, Youth Wing Punjab; Jaswinder Singh Bagha; Hardeep Singh Mann Bhogpur, Media Advisor; and Karam Singh Garhdiwala, State General Secretary.
The Federation leaders expressed their gratitude to Shri Ramdas Athawale for visiting Punjab and reaffirmed their commitment to working actively for social justice, education, youth empowerment and the promotion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s ideals of equality and social justice.
