The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has urged the Baloch population to stay away from ceremonies organised by the Pakistan Army and what it described as “puppet elements”, according to a statement released through its official Telegram channel.
The BLA also released a video showing what it described as Baloch military and defence forces marching in large numbers, a day ahead of Pakistan’s August 14 Independence Day.
Calling the footage a “proud moment” for the Baloch nation, the statement claimed that the forces were prepared to confront Pakistan’s “occupational forces”.
The video was released amid the BLA’s call for the Baloch population to distance itself from official Independence Day ceremonies organised by Pakistani authorities and their affiliated elements.
