London: Fireworks and celebrations marked August 11 as supporters of Balochistan observed what they described as the Balochistan Independence Day, with renewed calls for international recognition of Republic of Balochistan.
In a message shared on social media, Balochistan activist Hyrbyair Marri called on the international community to act immediately and recognise the Republic of Balochistan.
The message described Balochistan as “now a country” and asserted that it should be free to establish diplomatic, political and economic relations with the international community and neighbouring countries.
The celebrations, accompanied by fireworks, were shared under the hashtag #11AugBalochistanIndependenceDay, highlighting supporters’ campaign for the recognition of Balochistan as an independent state.
The post also described Balochistan as one of the world’s richest and most prosperous countries while urging the “free world” to respond to its call for recognition.
