New Delhi: Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has rejected allegations of wrongdoing in the Delhi Government, asserting that there has been “no scam” and warning AAP leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj and Sanjeev Jha to apologise or face legal action.
Kapoor accused Aam Aadmi Party leaders, from Arvind Kejriwal to Bharadwaj, of making what he described as “irresponsible” and “baseless” statements out of political frustration.
He said development works being undertaken by the Delhi Government, along with schemes for women and girls, had weakened the AAP’s political position in Delhi. Kapoor also claimed that reports predicting an AAP defeat in the forthcoming Punjab elections had further intensified what he called the party’s “politics of lies and deceit”.
Referring to a post by Delhi Government Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa on X, Kapoor said Bharadwaj and Jha had once again levelled “false and baseless allegations” against the Delhi Government at a press conference.
“There has been no scam in the Delhi Government. I strongly warn Saurabh Bharadwaj and Sanjeev Jha to stop their politics of lies and deceit and apologise, or be prepared to face legal action,” Sirsa said, according to Kapoor.
Kapoor further urged AAP leaders, including Kejriwal and Bharadwaj, to apologise to the BJP and the Delhi Government. He warned that failure to do so would invite what he described as a “political lesson” from voters in Delhi, Punjab and elsewhere in the country.
