New Delhi: Demonstrating a hands-on approach to urban governance, Delhi Social Welfare and SC/ST/OBC Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh and Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa carried out a comprehensive joint inspection of the Lal Flats residential complex in Bawana, reaffirming the Delhi Government’s commitment to delivering improved civic infrastructure and better living conditions for thousands of residents.

The ministers conducted an extensive review of civic amenities and infrastructure at the 1,184 EWS flats developed under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). The inspection focused on accelerating solutions to issues related to pending flat allotments, possession of eligible beneficiaries, maintenance, water supply, sanitation, sewerage, electricity, public infrastructure and the transfer of remaining housing units to the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB).

Senior officials from the Delhi Jal Board, DUSIB, DSIIDC, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Delhi Police, TPDDL and the district administration accompanied the ministers, enabling on-the-spot assessment and coordinated decision-making for the timely execution of development works.

Ravinder Indraj Singh said providing a safe, clean and dignified living environment for every family residing in Lal Flats remains one of the Delhi Government’s foremost priorities. He assured residents that all pending issues would be addressed through a phased and time-bound action plan, with departments working in close coordination to transform the housing complex into a well-planned, secure and better-managed residential community.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa said the Delhi Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, is committed to ensuring that quality civic amenities reach every citizen. He directed officials to act swiftly on all issues identified during the inspection, stressing that residents should experience visible improvements without delay.

The joint inspection underscored the government’s emphasis on field-based governance, inter-departmental coordination and faster implementation of civic development initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for families living in the Bawana Lal Flats complex.
