New Delhi, Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Sunday said that the past twelve years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi had transformed the scale and speed of India’s development, with public welfare emerging as the cornerstone of governance.
Addressing a Sanskritik Sandhya organised at Sanvariya Seth Tent in Rohini to commemorate twelve years of the Prime Minister’s leadership under the theme of Vishwas, Vikas and Jan Kalyan, Gupta said the period had been characterised by decisive governance, rapid infrastructure expansion, digital transformation, enhanced social welfare programmes and a strong focus on inclusive growth.
He stated that the government’s emphasis on transparency, efficient service delivery and citizen-centric policymaking had strengthened public confidence while accelerating India’s progress towards becoming a developed nation.
The event was attended by Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu, Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi, Lok Sabha MP Yogender Chandolia, public representatives, social organisations and a large gathering of residents from the Rohini Assembly constituency.
Describing the programme as a celebration of India’s cultural heritage alongside its developmental journey, Gupta said public participation remained central to democratic governance and nation-building. He expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Modi’s continued leadership, India would move forward with greater determination towards the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The cultural evening featured devotional bhajans highlighting India’s rich civilisational traditions and brought together people from diverse sections of society in an atmosphere of devotion, cultural harmony and civic participation.
