London, June 27: Members of the International Voice for Balochistan Missing Persons (IVBMP) staged a protest outside the UK Prime Minister’s Office at 10 Downing Street on Saturday, drawing attention to what the organisation described as ongoing human rights violations in the Republic of Balochistan.
The demonstration, held to coincide with the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, highlighted allegations of genocide, mass killings, enforced disappearances, state terrorism and torture, which the group attributed to Pakistan’s occupational forces in Balochistan.
According to the organisers, the protest aimed to raise international awareness of the situation and urge the global community to take notice of the alleged abuses. Protesters gathered outside the British Prime Minister’s official residence, carrying placards and voicing demands for justice and accountability.
The demonstration formed part of the group’s international campaign to spotlight the issue of missing persons and alleged human rights violations in Balochistan.
