Claims military occupation, enforced disappearances and resistance movement continue in the region
A fresh statement released under the banner of “Balochistan Briefing” has called on Pakistan to withdraw its military presence from what it described as the “Republic of Balochistan,” alleging decades of occupation, enforced disappearances and political repression.
The press note claimed that the Baloch people had historically opposed foreign occupation and accused Pakistan’s military establishment of ignoring the “public verdict” of millions of Baloch people seeking self-rule.
The statement further alleged that nearly 40,000 Baloch prisoners were being held by Pakistani security agencies, with families facing years of uncertainty over missing relatives. It warned that continued military operations and exploitation projects linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) could intensify conflict in the region.
Calling for “peace through withdrawal,” the note urged Pakistan to allow Baloch people to manage their own political and national affairs without interference. It also warned that continued tensions could deepen the ongoing insurgency.
The statement surfaced online amid renewed discussions around security concerns in Balochistan following recent incidents referenced under hashtags including #QuettaBlast and #TrainBlast.
